A little input.
And we’ll take it from here.
How to use it
Choose an image and enter its new width in pixels. Height follows automatically.
A quick example
Resize a 1600 × 1200 photo to 800 pixels wide; the result is 800 × 600.
Good to know
The aspect ratio is preserved. Enlarging an image does not add detail. Output is JPG with a white background or PNG with transparency.
Is it free?
Yes. No account, payment or file upload to a server is needed.
Choosing the right dimensions
Know whether you need pixels or kilobytes
Some forms ask for dimensions, such as 200 × 230 pixels, and others ask for file size. Resize to the dimensions first, then use Compress Image if the file is still too large.
Crop before you resize
Resizing keeps the shape of your photo. If a form needs a specific shape, like a passport-style portrait, crop to that shape on your phone first, then set the width here.
Sizes for sharing
For WhatsApp or email, around 1,280 pixels wide is plenty for a sharp photo on any phone, and the file is much smaller than the camera original.
A little more clarity
Can I resize without stretching my photo?
Yes. Enter the width in pixels and the tool calculates height using the original proportions. A 1600 × 1200 image resized to 800 pixels wide becomes 800 × 600. This tool does not crop to a fixed passport-photo ratio.
Should I choose JPG or PNG?
Choose JPG for photos when a smaller download is useful. Choose PNG for diagrams, logos or transparent backgrounds. Resizing changes dimensions, while Compress Image is the better option when a form specifies a file-size limit in KB.
