A little input.
And we’ll take it from here.
How to use it
Enter the bill, any tip percentage and how many people are sharing equally.
A quick example
Split ₹1,000 between 3 people: two pay ₹333.33 and one pays ₹333.34.
Good to know
Splits the total equally to the nearest paisa and distributes leftover paise so every share adds up exactly. It does not send or collect payments.
Is it free?
Yes. No account, payment or file upload to a server is needed.
Splitting fairly without awkwardness
Agree on tip and extras first
Decide before the bill arrives whether service charge, tip or delivery fees are shared equally. Restaurants in India sometimes add a service charge automatically, so check the bill before adding a tip on top.
Settle the same day
Shared expenses are easiest to settle while everyone remembers them. Copy the per-person amount into your UPI app and add a note such as 'Dinner 12 Oct' so everyone can see what each payment was for.
Uneven shares need a different split
If one person ordered much more, or a flatmate has the bigger room, an equal split won't feel fair. Work out those items separately and split only the shared part here.
A little more clarity
What happens when the amount cannot be split equally?
The total is rounded to whole paise, then divided. Any leftover paise are assigned one at a time so the shares add up exactly. For ₹1,000 split three ways, one person pays ₹333.34 and two pay ₹333.33.
Can I use this for rent and household expenses?
Yes, when everyone shares equally. Enter the combined amount and set the tip to zero. For unequal rent shares or settling several payments made by different people, agree the allocation separately; this tool calculates a single equal split.
